Red for blood, black for night
With cards you’ll never guess it right.
Diamond is a sign of wealth
Though not always a sign of health.
Club is the mark of a fight
Typically found in the dead of night.
Spade to bury those who are dead
Never let it go to your head.
The heart is meant to love despite
Even when the choice appears to not be right.
Numbers, count them all as special,
Some lead to the calling temple.
Ace for the trick hiding behind
The king and queen who’ll be hard to find.
Jack is all that’s left to say
Four of a kind, you’ll find them this way;
A wealthy jack is a heart attack,
A jack in death won’t hold it’s breath,
A loving jack may fight back
While a fighting jack might learn to love.
But despite what you can tell
With cards things usually don’t work well.
Don’t blame the cards for what you’re dealt
Blame the game for how you felt.
