I finally did it! I published my first novel, Princess Mythos, on Amazon. The book is available in both eBook and Paperback. The eBook is $2.99 but if you have the Kindle Unlimited it is free. The paperback is $10.99. Both are available worldwide through the Amazon website. Several copies have already been purchased.
This book, Princess Mythos, is the first of a seven-book series I have planned. The following is the current description of the Mythos series:
The country of Oscela, a small island country in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, has faced trials and tribulations ever since the rest of the world discovered it. When Oscela was split into three islands-Estua, Agulaif, and Quetato-drifting apart centuries ago, the Oscelan people were separated as much as the land. Over time, Oscela was forgotten. Estua was the only island of the three noticed by the rest of the world and was tolerated, though mostly ignored. It was not until the year of 2019 that Estua became worth noticing. When the new Mythos Monarch took the throne the world awoke to all that Oscela had been. As the separated islands come together after having been separated for over a millennium, Oscela rises again. Talking animals, people with superhuman abilities, advanced technology, bodyguards, protectors, mythical creatures, Princesses, and Queens all come together to revive this almost Utopia. Despite leaving the hardships of the past in the past, the people of Oscela are determined to never again let the world tear them apart.
If you are interested in following this series, the first book is out!
The description of Princess Mythos is as follows:
A new princess has been discovered amongst the Estuan people. But Fiona Augusto is no ordinary princess. She is a Mythos, which means she has powers capable of impossible things. She has one week to prepare before her transformation is complete. Until then, she is at her most vulnerable. And not everyone wants Fiona to reign.
This is as much as I will say about this story, so as not to spoil the details. What I will say is that this story is a coming-of-age princess story involving mythological creatures/monsters, along with fantasy, adventure, and a little bit of mystery. Romance will be light, but present, though less so in this book than the rest of the series, which will include superpowers and Sci-Fi to the already mentioned genres.
The story is and will remain child-friendly, though I recommend middle school age and up. Elementary children should be able to read Princess Mythos and the rest of the Mythos series, however, they may have a few questions. My target audience has been Young Adult, but due to having younger siblings, I have done my best to ensure that the story is safe for younger children to read.
If there are any questions, please let me know. I am more than happy to answer questions involving my written works.
That’s all for now. Thanks for reading,
Em Rodriguez
