Ending the Troubles

I’ve been there

I’ve walked the roads

I walked the walls

I saw the memorials

I spoke to the families

I spoke to the freed

Only thirty or so years passed

So much has changed

Though some remains the same 

Acknowledging the hurt and repenting

Both sides must

Meeting face to face

Recognize the humanity

Accepting the hurt and moving forward

Unite as human before too late

The only way to save the human race
