Come So Far

The days are long,

The struggles are hard, 

But I have never come so far.

The storms rage on,

The wind still howls,

But I have never come so far.

Task after task, job after job,

There is no end to the chores.

I want it all to end;

I want to be free of these torments.

At the end of another day,
