All I Want

All I want is for the axe to fall

to release the weight forcing me to stand tall

All I want is to breathe

to enjoy, to be free

All I want is to break as I have before

All I want is to let it fade away

to give these thoughts another day

to pause the harsh light and cling to shadow

where warmth and all is settled

All I want I have to wait for

I can’t have it now or ever

Not until the darkness comes

Not until the pain is gone

All I want must wait in time

Take a break and continue the rhyme

All I want will come one day

For now I must stay and pray

for all I want is on the way.
