Today I published my Princess Mythos book as a hardcover. Within 72 hours the book will be available for purchase through Amazon. The book is the same, but has been updated slightly in font, design, etc. Because the book is a hardcover the cost is more expensive than the paperback. The hardcover cost for Princess Mythos is $19.99 while the paperback is $10.99 and the eBook is $2.99. However, the eBook is free with Kindle Unlimited. These costs are so that all involved in creating the book get paid. I tried to keep the costs cheap because I know how expensive books can be and purchasing books becomes difficult over time due to the expenses, but I also wanted to ensure that the prices were reasonable.

I hope everyone is pleased with the new updates. I’m super excited for the hardcover to come in.

I’ll keep updating. Thanks for reading.

Amazon Published https://whatifchronicles.net/2021/06/05/amazon-published/ https://whatifchronicles.net/2021/06/05/amazon-published/#respond Sat, 05 Jun 2021 20:05:29 +0000 http://whatifchronicles.net/?p=131

I finally did it! I published my first novel, Princess Mythos, on Amazon. The book is available in both eBook and Paperback. The eBook is $2.99 but if you have the Kindle Unlimited it is free. The paperback is $10.99. Both are available worldwide through the Amazon website. Several copies have already been purchased.

This book, Princess Mythos, is the first of a seven-book series I have planned. The following is the current description of the Mythos series:

The country of Oscela, a small island country in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, has faced trials and tribulations ever since the rest of the world discovered it. When Oscela was split into three islands-Estua, Agulaif, and Quetato-drifting apart centuries ago, the Oscelan people were separated as much as the land. Over time, Oscela was forgotten. Estua was the only island of the three noticed by the rest of the world and was tolerated, though mostly ignored. It was not until the year of 2019 that Estua became worth noticing. When the new Mythos Monarch took the throne the world awoke to all that Oscela had been. As the separated islands come together after having been separated for over a millennium, Oscela rises again. Talking animals, people with superhuman abilities, advanced technology, bodyguards, protectors, mythical creatures, Princesses, and Queens all come together to revive this almost Utopia. Despite leaving the hardships of the past in the past, the people of Oscela are determined to never again let the world tear them apart.

If you are interested in following this series, the first book is out!

The description of Princess Mythos is as follows:

A new princess has been discovered amongst the Estuan people. But Fiona Augusto is no ordinary princess. She is a Mythos, which means she has powers capable of impossible things. She has one week to prepare before her transformation is complete. Until then, she is at her most vulnerable. And not everyone wants Fiona to reign.

This is as much as I will say about this story, so as not to spoil the details. What I will say is that this story is a coming-of-age princess story involving mythological creatures/monsters, along with fantasy, adventure, and a little bit of mystery. Romance will be light, but present, though less so in this book than the rest of the series, which will include superpowers and Sci-Fi to the already mentioned genres.

The story is and will remain child-friendly, though I recommend middle school age and up. Elementary children should be able to read Princess Mythos and the rest of the Mythos series, however, they may have a few questions. My target audience has been Young Adult, but due to having younger siblings, I have done my best to ensure that the story is safe for younger children to read.

If there are any questions, please let me know. I am more than happy to answer questions involving my written works.

That’s all for now. Thanks for reading,

Em Rodriguez

Preparing to Publish https://whatifchronicles.net/2021/01/28/preparing-to-publish/ https://whatifchronicles.net/2021/01/28/preparing-to-publish/#respond Thu, 28 Jan 2021 21:29:30 +0000 http://whatifchronicles.net/?p=126

Hello readers,

I know it has been some time since I last posted any new content. One reason for this is because I have been busy with my courses at the University. Another reason is because I have been focussing on preparing my first novel for publishing. I hope to publish the novel soon.

I plan on posting the novel here on my website. There will be a small fee to read the full novel. If you wish to read the novel this will be the case, but once you do, you should have access to it at all times without further fee. I may also publish on Amazon, but we will see if that actually happens.

I plan to continue posting my journey of self-publishing here in a blog-like format. This is merely the first post and I will not go into further detail until my next post. I will keep you updated on my progress and will announce when the novel is available.

The novel in question I have named Princess Mythos. It is a story about a teenage girl who discovers that she is the heir to the throne of her island country. As she goes through the steps of becoming the monarch, she discovers her supernatural powers and learns how to control them. There are mythical creatures, superpowers, and transformation. This novel will be the first of the Mythos series I am planning. This series will also cross over continuously with another series-the Digital Protectors series-I am preparing but is not yet ready.

The Princess Mythos novel itself is finished. I merely need to publish it. I have edited and rewritten the novel numerous times and am satisfied with how it has turned out. This will be the first novel I publish, but it is not the first I have planned. There will be many more to come and most will be part of one series or another. Many series will cross over one another and there will be characters that appear repeatedly throughout each series.

This is only the beginning.

Until the next update,

Em Rodriguez
